TRIGAIDA

TRIGAIDA intertwines Bulgarian folklore with modern electronic musical touches. Their debut album ‘Elate’ has a contemporary sound and offers a new reading of the Bulgarian musical heritage. The musicians use folklore motifs and traditional songs as a base for their compositions, rejuvenating the traditional sound with influences from popular electronic genres like drum ‘n bass, dubstep, trip hop while also adding whiffs of contemporary jazz, world music and neoclassical. The TRIGAIDA project brings together the talent, creativity and experience of three well-established musicians on the Bulgarian music scene, namely Asya Pincheva (vocals), Ivan Shopov (electronics and production) and Georgi Marinov - Horhe (bagpipe, didgeridoo).
